I’m a big fan of the little stuffed elephant one of the toddlers has by the foot. It’s one of my little development moves. Originally I drew a little bear, but before showing them off I realized that a celeb’s kid would never schlep along with something as mundane and ordinary as a teddy bear. An elephant on the other hand, totally acceptable. It’s so important to develop and make consise decisions before you show sketches to your audience. If you don’t push yourself there’s a very strong chance that your client will like things before you’ve really had a chance to explore the possibilities. That’s how a project’s potential gets cut short.
